Tauranga Hospital – CT Scanner Upgrades

Project Outline:

Thomson Group provided detailed design for the installation of a new CT (Computed Tomography) machine within the Radiology Department. This specification includes the modification of other rooms within the Radiology area including the existing CT. Working with the hospital radiology department, Toshiba and other contractors to draw up the tendering documentation.

The Solution:

Meeting and data gathering for the documentation with all aspects of the project ready for sending out to tender, this included but was not limited the following.

• Preliminary data gather / design inputs - specifically clearly identifying Toshiba and Radiology department requirements.
• Detailed design - for Body Protected areas.
• Scope/specification/drawings development for tender
• Construction monitoring / practical completion signoff and defects list if applicable.
• Project closeout and drawing as-builts.
