Project Outline: 

Thomson Group provided a technical resource to the main electrical contractor to develop the network infrastructure for a number of new large residential developments across New Zealand. 

Working with the main electrical contractor and client, Thomson Group developed design documentation including HV and LV power reticulation, lighting, data and security services, coordinated with other disciplines and services. 

Each development consisted of approximately 200 properties, with supporting facilities and services. 

The Solution: 

Thomson Group provided the following services:  

    • HV compound design and coordination with client and electrical utility supplier
    • Electrical load calculation and verification
    • Development of full underground multi service staged site wide reticulation plan
    • IT and data system design and specification assistance
    • Security and access control system design and specification assistance
    • Exterior lighting calculations and design
