Project Outline:

The ultimate aim of this project was to provide a Submains feed and generator back up feed for the new IT Data Centre. The IT Data Centre is located at WBOPDC (Barkes Corner) and will house the IT infrastructure for TCC and WBOPDC.

The Solution:

Reconfiguration of existing underground services to allocate space for the new equipment installation. Upgrading of the existing 300KVA transformer to a new 500KVA with switchgear to accommodate the expansion in load. Installation of a new dedicated Submains feed to supply the new local distribution and control board. Moving and relocating an existing generator from TCC library to the new IT Data Centre site. Installing a generator backed up 100A feed to uphold WBOPDC utilities offices under an emergency power outage. Thomson Group provided a full turn key solution for all associated electrical works.
