Project Outline:

Thomson Group provided stand-in electrical facilities management to the Tauranga Hospital Campus for two eight-month periods in 2014 and 2016.  Paul Thomson a Director of Thomson Group provided support to the DHB and acted as the Electrical Facilities Manager. This was while the search for a candidate to fill the permanent role was undertaken.

The Solution:

Working as part of the Property Services team, Paul was resident at Tauranga Hospital full time and managed all aspects of the sites electrical infrastructure and resources.  This included but was not limited the following.

  • Site electrical day to day issues and resolution
  • All subcontractor management and maintenance agreements
  • Stakeholder communications and in depth planning for capital or remedial works.
  • Security systems
  • Lift systems
  • UPS and generation systems
  • Capital works, design/procurement and installation supervision.
