BOPRC Facilities Redevelopment

Project Outline: 

Thomson Group provided engineering resources to assist in design, development, installation, commissioning and delivery of full refurbishment of two major BOPRC facilities in the Bay of Plenty over a 2 year period with completion in 2021. 

Paul Thomson and John Sutcliffe worked closely with the main contractor and sub-contractors, and provided support to the client throughout the duration of the project.  Thomson Group were integral to ensuring the project was delivered in an acceptable timeframe to the satisfaction of client requirements.  

The Solution: 

Paul and John managed and integrated a variety of elements by working as a part of the design and construction team, and listening closely to client needs. 

Tasks included:  

    • Clarification and clear definition of technical requirements
    • Detailed design development
    • Regular client and contractor planning meetings
    • Electrical lighting and power design, including 'smart' energy efficient design
    • IT system capabilities definition and implementation
    • Security systems design and installation
    • Building management system specification and integration
    • Photo Voltaic (solar) system integration
    • Emergency power systems design, installation and commissioning
